One thing you’re going to have to think about is car insurance, and lets face it – as a new young driver you’re going to get well and truly caned by the car insurance companies!

I don’t really know if there’s such a thing as cheap car insurance for young drivers, I intend on doing some research on it and I’ll add it to the site if I can find any special offers or cheap car insurance, but really I think it’s a given that it’s going to be expensive.

I have an old Ford Ka that’s worth less than £1000, and when I tried for quotes by myself I was quoted at over £400 per month!

I think it’s amazing that the cost per year would be 5 times what the cars worth! [Read more...]
