Blind Spots

In order to be a safe driver, it is important that you can see everything around the vehicle you are driving, this includes other motorists and pedestrians.

A lot of things around you can be see using the mirrors in the car, including the rear view mirror and the wing mirrors, however all areas cannot be seen using these, and this is called the blind spot.

Due to the positioning of the mirrors, it means that certain areas of the vehicle cannot be seen, and this can be extremely dangerous, especially when making manoeuvres or on a motorway. [Read more...]

Level Crossings

On the roads today you will probably encounter quite a few level crossings.

As you already know, level crossings are where a railway line crosses the path of a road, and knowing this simple fact will automatically make most people aware of how dangerous they can be.

Trains often travel at high speeds, so if an accident was to occur on a level crossing, the chances are that it will be very serious, in many cases the accidents can be fatal.
